Vestry Update to the Congregation April 26, 2022
Our financial situation as of the end of March was a net income of -$2412. This is about where we should be according to our 2022 budget projections. The amount of giving and the income from the facility rental are down slightly from what was projected.
The Stewardship subcommittee members Beth, Alanna, Ben; & Kate met during Lent for a group study regarding stewardship. The committee has plans and ideas for rethinking how we as a congregation think about stewardship. The committee plans to meet monthly.
The Discipleship subcommittee members Mary & Nat, Art, John & Roberta, and Lorna met in April. The committee has plans for group studies which will be introduced in the fall.
Children’s Ministry has had several volunteers. At this point we still need someone to take on the role of coordinating/leading Children’s Ministry. Please consider and let the Wardens know if this is something you are willing to take on.
Rev. Claude and Hilary will be back in Regina beginning May 3.
Shelley will be retiring from her role at the Diocese Office at the end of April. Congratulations to Shelley and thank you for all the work you have done for the Diocese over many years.
The Regina Heritage Society will be hosting virtual heritage tours in the Cathedral Area this spring. St. Mary’s will be one of the buildings that people will visit. The Heritage Society will provide a sign on the outside of the building.
Thank you to the entire congregation as we have gone through the past six months and more of COVID together.
