Leader:  When the LORD brought back the exiles of Zion,
People:   We thought we were dreaming.                                                                                                             

Leader: Then was our mouth filled with laughter;
People:  On our tongues, songs of joy.

Leader:  Bring back our exiles, O LORD!
People:  As streams in the south.                                                                                                                            

Leader: Those who are sowing in tears
People:  Will sing when they reap.

A voice cries: In the wilderness, prepare the way of the Lord!
Make straight in the desert a highway for our God.
Every valley shall be lifted up
and every mountain and hill brought low.
The uneven ground shall become level
and the rough places a plain.
And the glory of the Lord shall be revealed.
and all flesh shall see it together.
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost.

And lo I see the power of God coming, and a cloud covering the whole earth.

Tell us, are you the one who is to reign over your people Israel?

Go out to meet Him and say:

Hear, O Shepherd of Israel, that leads Joseph like a sheep.
Tell us, are you He that is to come?

Stir up your strength, O Lord and come.
